So we've heard what your mum says, but what do YOU repeat to your DC like a stuck record?

Because with me it's

"DS sit on your chair properly please or you'll fall off"
"Sit on your chair properly."
"Sit down properly. On your bum. Now. Sit down please or you will fall off."

DS:

And repeat...

I'm boring myself!

"get your hands out your pants!!"

or

"leave your bits alone!!!"

DS is most definatly a typical male!

bobblehat · 18/01/2010 22:57

"Will you switch the light off. It's like Blackpool illuminations in here"

ThisBoyDraculaDrew · 18/01/2010 23:00

Stop doing that to her
Get off her
Leave her alone

(I have 3 DDs so applies to anything any of them do)

Put your plate in a dishwasher

Put your socks on (repeated at least 8 times at increasing volume before leaving for school).

Have you done a poo today? (He has issues, I don't really want to have to ask this.)

fruitstick · 18/01/2010 23:06

"I'm not going to tell you again" x 4

"Honestly!"

"Put your shoes on please" x 6

"No feet on the baby"

JaynieB · 18/01/2010 23:10

Please stop calling me a 'puttock' (I have no idea what it means but I'm sure its a put down..)

CrystalQueen · 18/01/2010 23:14

Mummy said NO.

Cue giggling.

Mermaidspam · 18/01/2010 23:34

Because I said so!

Could you please just take some more care with things?!

WhereChaosTheoryRules · 18/01/2010 23:35

"No, you are not sleeping in my bed.
No, you are not sleeping on my floor.
No, i am not sleeping in your bed.
No, you are not sleeping on your floor.
Get back into your bed now!
I said now and i mean now!"

Repeated constantly betweem 7pm and 10pm this evening.

Normally:
"What did i just say?"
"No i don't want to look. Will you just put it down." "I said down and not in your pocket. Take it out now"

Boys are truely disgusting!

coldtits · 18/01/2010 23:37

Stay with me
Come here
Put it down
Stop touching that
Come on!
Sit down. Sit down with your bottom on the chair nd your legs under the table. Sit down.

coldtits · 18/01/2010 23:37

We Do NOT HaaaaaYah!

Mermaidspam · 18/01/2010 23:39

Oh, and "Will you PLEASE watch the tone of your voice?!"

Rochel4 · 19/01/2010 00:06

if you don't stay with me and hold on to the pushchair, you are definately gonna get kidnapped!

muminthecity · 19/01/2010 00:11

-Be careful!
-What have I told you about that?
-Be good
-Do I have to tell you again?
-I'm going to count to ten
-Where are your manners?

BooHooMonkey · 19/01/2010 00:16

CUT IT OUT! (seriously, I have never said or heard this phrase except between me and my mum... or now, between DS and I.)
Also, I CAN TURN THIS CAR AROUND, RIGHT NOW!
(My Mother obviously attended the cliche school of parenting!), Don't let me get started on 'The wind will change...'

smallandkind · 19/01/2010 00:21
  • wait at the corner
  • hurry up
  • will you just get in the car and sit down
  • why do you only listen when I shout?
  • Hello? ground control to "child's name" can you hear me? Over
  • Teeth?
  • Shoes?
  • Jumper?
-do i look like a coat rack?
LittlePushka · 19/01/2010 00:29

LOL at rochel 4 - i am going to put that one into my repertoire!!

reading this thread through is HILARIOUS - like listening to a tape of me over the course of breakfast

kreecherlivesupstairs · 19/01/2010 07:20

Will you sit like a person rather than a monkey.
Put your shoes on.
Is it possible for you to keep your slippers on for more than 6 seconds.
I am counting to 5.
Here's the money, get out of the car and go home on the bus.
Because I am the grown up.
Sorry love, you aren't the queen.
Did your legs/arms break? (in response to carrying bags or walking)

preggersplayspop · 19/01/2010 07:48

Careful, careful, careful

How many times do I have to tell you? (I must have said this often because DS aged 2yo often repeats this back to me)

why do we always have to have a battle over getting dressed?

Are you listening to me?

Bucharest · 19/01/2010 08:00

Hurry UP.
We are going to be LATE.
I can't believe it's taken you this long to eat breakfast/do homework/wash hands etc ad infinitum.
Related to the hands "No-one ever died because they went to school when their hands weren't totally dry" followed by more Hurry Ups and I can't believes.

upahill · 19/01/2010 08:06

In my head silently I often say ' For fuck's sake!!' No one knows that though!.

Most of the time it is 'Why would I know where your. I touch fox jumper, fcuk jeans, necker, whatever ... are?. I've not had them'
