When will i learn? less is more when it comes to lanolising. Grrrrrrr, what do i do now? leave them (they are very sticky) or rewash? in reality i have overdone it that much that if thrown at the wall i think they might stick

Leave it. Your DC's skin will be lovely and soft, you'll never have a leak, and it'll rub off eventually.

I agree - it might feel a bit funny but just use at night or something and your little one will have the softest skin ever and then the next night use them inside out and then they will be fine! I use extra lanolin when I am doing DD1s night longies as she gets very dry skin.

Also - do you lanolise inside out? I find that helps keep the outside less sticky!

i did them inside out and i've put a pair on dd tonight. i know they will be bomb-proof but they felt horrible. I will learn my lesson and not put that extra bit in 'just incase' we'll see, they were that sticky it was hard to even tell if they were dry Thanks all, at least it won't last long until the stickyness has gone and hopeful a good while til i need to do them again
