If anyone has a bugaboo cameleon can they help me pls.....I'm about to move my DD (19wks) from the carrycot to the proper buggy as she's just too big. But it doesn't look very cosy. Is this a case where I need to buy more stuff to make it nice and warm for her? As if it didn't cost enough already!! I see there's a footmuff on their website - is this what I 'need'?? Or can I just make do with heaps of blankets? She's incredibly prone to coughs and colds so if the consensus is that I need to buy extra stuff then I guess I'm happy(ish) to do that.
TIA

Look on ebay for a footmuff, people sell them cheaper than new, or you can get a custom made one cheaper

There are often buggy snuggles & custom footmuffs on sale in the pushchairs section on here. I think they do keep them lovely and warm in this weather, blankets start being pushed off sooner or later too!

I used a cheapo john lewis footmuff on mine until my DD was about 11mo- it was fine; it covered the whole part they sit on (above head height) so it was nice and cosy; after 11mo, I bought a footmuff on ebay, and I have to say, I do prefer it.

The footmuff is definitely a good idea is makes the back snuggly as well as keeping the legs warm, I also pop a blanket under it when it's really cold

The footmuff is great as it hooks over the back, and you can put it over the seat flap bit, which means it never comes off when you collapse the buggy, and doesn't move when trying to get DC into the buggy too.

I've got the Gecko, which is basically the smaller version and none of the extras. I bought a piece of a pretty fleece fabric (150cm x 70 cm) out of a remnant bin, cut slits to pass the harness through, and it just fold it over her feet and stuff in at the sides. If it's colder, we add more blankets, also she wears a snowsuit on cold days.
