Birth Certificate and Parental Responsibility???

I have changed my son's surname back in Sept. He was born before the 1st December 2003 so son's father does not have any PR. With him being registered on the birth certificate does it give him rights?> Could he change it back with being registed on bc?

IIRC he can apply to the court for parental responsibility and get it that way./ Only other way he can get it is if he marrys you after the 1st december 2003. So cant change your sons surname back just like you couldnt have changed it if he had PR and disagreed. If that makes sense
