Routine routine

However boring it may be for your particular lifestyle I cannot advocate how important it is for children from when they are born to how old mine are now, 9,6 and 3, to have a routine. All of ours followed a style similar to Gina Ford's but we were lucky enough to have our own Marternity Guru in the form of Linda Elderkin and she was available on tap at the end of a phone rather than looking up in a book. So if we had a problem she could give you individual advice on a particular problem with 100% success. We have come out sane and well rested and our kids well behaved and utterly lovable. All breastfed and then bottlefed when necessary.

Mine are older than that and all lovely, emotionally secure and well behaved. I certainly wouldn't listen to Gina Ford or anyone similar. I wouldn't have read a book or phoned anyone except perhaps friends or relations!
One size never fits all-all you can say that it was best for you. It is a shame that anyone thinks there is 'a way'.

I fear I may have been taken in by a troll. I always fall for it!

Nah not a troll...... I do exist! I do agree there is always "a way" for each of us and I am just advocating one that worked for us. Relatives and friends do of course have loads of advice and all can be taken on board and worked to your advantage.............or not
