What are your toddlers wearing to bed in this cold weather?

It is so cold here that my toddler is having to wear a larger size sleepsuit to accommodate all the layers underneath!

He is wearing:
a thermal short sleeved vest
a normal cotton poppered vest
a GAP tight fitting cotton pyjamas set (top and bottom)
a velour all in one sleepsuit
a 2.5 tog sleeping bag

both kids in pjs and duvet but heating and insulation good. when they were younger b4 had work done on house both in those grobag snuggly sleeping bags. great for preventing cot escape too.

Ds3 is 2.6
t shirt
cotton tights
baby grow with feet
fleece oversuit with feet
4 tog cot dicey
two cotton cellular blankets

and although the heating is off at night we live on his ensuite bathroom radiator with the door open to take the cull off.

Another mumsnetter said he was balkan baby.

house cold but my lot have always got boiling at night so dd fine with a fleece all in one and a duvet as long as the duvet doesnt come off
the baby has quite a few more layers

10month old is only in a sleepsuit and a grobag - this thread had made me wonder if I should add a blanket or a vest. I don't wear anything to bed though and am not cold.

MrsJohnDeere · 09/01/2010 10:42

Ds1 is in normal PJs and has a 13 tog duvet. Keeping socks on too. Offered further layers but declined. Doesn't seem to feel the cold.

Ds2 is in PJs with t-shirt underneath and socks (but keeps pulling his trousers off). Has 10 tog duvet and a fleecy blanket to which he is surgically attached.

Their room goes down to 12/13 degrees at night at the moment.

DD (just 3) wears vest, pyjamas, socks and slippers, fleecy top, then over her I put a folded blanket, cotbed sized duvet and thick double duvet (13 tog) folded in half. Can't afford much more than a couple of hours heating, so I heat one room dowstairs and her room upstairs for 2 hours and get her ready for bed with a hot supper and milk. She seems ok. I have pyjamas, fleece, socks, slippers, two duvets (4 tog and 13 tog).

Live in southern Spain and have cold tiled and marble floored house, cardboard walls, crappy windows and no heating. DD (20 months) bedroom around 11-12 degs at night. Wears long sleeved vest, pyjamas, socks, another thicker long-sleeved top over pyjamas or v light jumper, 2.5 tog grobag, light blanket over that, which is thrown off. Woke up last night and seemed a bit cold, so put a cardigan on her on top of all that!

I sleep in pyjamas and socks, sheet, winter duvet and blanket, sometimes a jumper and I love my hot water bottle!
