Yes.

I've not tried the organic BGs but the inside is organic cotton so you need to wash them a few times to get them up to full absorbency. This is the case with all natural fibres like hemp and bamboo. Not sure if it makes any difference with microfibre inserts but you should still wash those to get rid of any factory residue.

I think you have to do a few initial washes to achieve full absorbancy

I share your excitement though, I ordered some yesterday and am vv impatient for them to turn up!!
