DS is out of nappies in the day but I still use them at night times.

Over the last few weeks they have been stinking every morning and I mean really stinking, not just of wee, a kind of musty horrible smell.

I used to do a nappy wash at 60, but with only using one a day I occasionally use a 30 or 40 was with other household items. Could this be the reason ?

I use tots bots and bamboozles and bought them new 2 years ago.

Could it be the wraps ? Again, these were Motherease bought new at the same time. I cant tell what is the most honky the nappy or the wrap, they are just as bad !

Any advice ?

Give all the nappies a 60' wash with no detergent, just a big slug of white vinegar. You've probably got detergent build up which leads to the foul smell

I agree - build up makes them smell.

Oh, OK.

Didnt think of that.

Would you put the vinegar in the powder compartment or conditioner bit ?

Doesn't matter really - but maybe detergent section so gets a good rinse out afterwards

Thanks

You can do both - it cleans your washing machine out nicely at the same time, but the main thing is to go in the detergent bit

It worked thanks !!

Washed them all twice at 60, and woke up this morning to a fairly pleasant nappy.

Now just have to work out how best to rotate these non smelly ones to stop it happening in the future.
