I have a selection of motherease wraps for DS2 they are all airflows and they are all leaking, I am having to change his clothes and nappies 5-6 times a day and every night he is soaked right through the wraps are soaking wet on the outside.

I wash them on a quick wash (30) and dry them on a clothes horse.

I picked some up last week and after using them once and then washing them I am back to the same problem.

can i wash them in vinegar/soda crystals and stop this happening?

OK here are some of my thoughts that might help and apologies if I am not saying anything new.... My nappies usually only leak if there is a bit of cloth sticking out of the wrap, it acts as a wick, so are you sure that all the nappy is in the wrap? and is the wrap tight enough? It might even be the wrong size, when I use disposables I always go up a size otherwise they leak. If the nappies arn't dry enough they might not be as absorbant so could you put them in a tumble drier for a few mins when they are nearly dry to fluff up? I keep mine in the airing cupboard which dries them out nicely.
I've heard that some people use wool at night or you could use a booster perhaps?
My only other thought is that if the wraps are new perhaps you bought some duff ones and you can take them back to the shop for a refund.

They seem to be leaking through the fabric of the wrap rather than the edges...although i could be wrong....

hmmm doesn't sound right - motherease are very reliable - did you buy them new? Have you used fabric conditioner on your nappies or covers? (big no no) Is the nappy completely covered by the wrap? Have you prewashed your nappies? (4-6 washes needed)

Sorry - lots of questions but it sounds like the fit/absorbency rather than the covers to me.

Fleece cover like pumpkin pants will do the job overnight - otherwise I would say if going through the wrap fabric then you have big problems! How long have you had them? You could contact Generations Ahead who distrubute them and ask for them to be tested if quite new - otherwise some people try to re waterproof PUL by tumble drying them. I would say you need new wraps tbh!

4 of them are only 4 weeks old

oh this sounds like me too. i have the me wraps too for ds and he is 20 months but big for his age and he has been leaking at night for a while. i bought new wraps thinking it might be that. i started another thread and have had loads of advice to booster inside and outside the nappy but he is still leaking. maybe you need bigger nappies?
