no, there is no need. it's just a marketing ploy. it was created by formula mnufacturers to get around the ban on advertising infant formula.
it has extra iron which often constipates babies

Thanku very much i just wasnt sure, soo i can just keep him on the stage 2 then, does anyone know if there is an actual amount as to how much babys should have in one day, when on solids??
And how much milk 2??

just let him eat what he seems to want, there is no general amount, they vary a lot as to how much they'll eat.

i think they should be taking something like 20oz of milk a day, and yes, just keep using whatever milk you're already giving

DS1 started having cows milk on cereal and in the form of yogurt cheese etc. Didn't upset him so he drank it as well. no more formula.

You should n't allow him to reduce milk intake until weaning well established. Most nutrients for under 1's come form milk.

Gave both of my DS's Cow & Gate stage one all way till they were one, then straight onto cows milk. Eldest now 7.8 and youngest just turned 3. Both healthy boys with no problems.

Don't think you really need the follow on milk
