My dd's 2nd birthday is coming up and I have no idea what to get her. Any ideas people? She got a trike, pram, toy garage and arty stuff for her christmas and a snow white dvd that she loves so I thought some disney princess stuff? What do your 2 year olds play with?

DS is 21m and got a play kitchen and a big bucket of mega-blocks for christmas and is well pleased with both.

I'm already a bit fed up of having to eat plastic egg and wooden banana though.

My dd got a dustpan and brush set for her 2nd birthday - she loves it. Also a toy kitchen, tea set etc. What about a baby for her pram? DD (2.2) has just gone mad for babies, and loves giving them milk etc. (good job really as we are ttc no.2 but that's a whole other thread!). She also really likes jigsaws too.

Hope that helps!

Just re-read my post and I of course mean a toy baby!

We bought dd a hobby horse for her 2nd birthday which was popular. It was also the year of play food and tea sets.

Dressing up got more popular after 2 and as others have said kitchen stuff. Trains have always been popular in our house and books. Colouring, water and painting never get boring.

Threading beads are something we haven't got and I was a bit at a friend's house the other day when my DD (3) didn't have a clue how to get the bead on the string and the other girl who's 2.5 had them was stringing miles of them!!
