Hi, I am relly desperate for some advise! My 3 yr old dd is refusing to sleep in her own bed. Up until 2 weeks ago she used to sleep by herself in bed with no problem st all. She would even stay in her own bed even if she did not fall asleep straight away. But 2 weeks ago we were forced to stay with her grandparents whilst our house was renovated. She totally refused to sleep in their spare bedroom and screamed most of the night, so we had no choice but to put her in bed with us so that everyone could sleep. Now we are back home again she still refuses to sleep in her own bed, and screams whenever she sees the bed. Whenever she starts screaming in the night we have tried just putting her back in bed without making a fuss but nothing works and we are completely desperate. Does anyone have any advise please???

Have you tried putting her in her own bed but one of you sleeping on the floor next to her bed? We have had to do this. Its really rubbish for a week but we found it gets them used to sleeping in their own bed again but they feel a bit happier with someone else in the room.

Thats a good idea we did not think of that. Definitely worth a try thanks for that!
