Hi all not sure where to post this really but hope someone can help.

my friend has been going through lengthy court proceeding to allow her new husband to adopt her two teenage girls. Finally it has all gone through and they are very happy about it and obviously im happy for them.

they are having a ceremony in the judges chambers on the 21st as a nice kind of making it all official ceremony. i have never come across this before and was wondering if its the done thing to get them a card / gift to celebrate it. or is it really just a family thing.

i know all the family well, the mum is a very good friend to me and the elder daughter sometimes babysits my DS so i would hate not to get them something, if that's the right thing to do.

any advice / experience very much appreciated

Not come across it either, but I'd get a card at least.
