Baby blues and sleep

I am interested to know how much sleep other mums are getting with newborns. I know everyone struggles with sleep but is 2-3 hours sleep in 24 hours standard? Also really struggling with baby blues and it is day 8 - is this normal?

DD fed permanetly for the first 3 days until my milk came in - i was out of my mind with no sleep. Dd only slept on me as well

things did settle down when my milk came in and she was more settled

we did a lot of co-sleeping which was a life saver

about a week after your delivery you do get a crash of hormones - so yes it is normal, but don't hesistate to contact your HV if you feel it is more than that

how was your delivery?

the first few weeks are very tough - be kind to yourself and if you have a partner make them aware of your feelings and needs

good luck
