you are incredible and deserve huge amounts of praise, money, booze and chocolate.

DH has been away on a trip for just one night. He gets back tonight, after DS is in bed.

Just over 24 hours alone with DS and I am ready to drop. And my DS is a very easy baby, sleeps well, eats well, likes to play in his bouncy chair or on his playmat (he's 5.5 months, BTW). And yet I am exhausted from being his only care giver for just about a day and a half.

So many many kudos to all your single parents. I have no idea how you do this day in and day out.

Booze accepted. Cloudy Bay Sav Blanc please...

...soon to come to a semi-end though, as I'm moving in with my Special Friend....

I chose it! Does that mean I get more chocolate or less?

(PS congrats retired goth)

I have one DS but his energy and hyperness amounts to at least 4 DC!!

But I'll settle for a bottle of wine and a bag of haribo, ta!

I do get a bit miffed when some of my friends say "I class myself as a single mum because DH is never around."

Fair enough, but at least you aren't pushing state pennies round a plate

And that wasn't aimed at you Janitor...

Rant over.

ach, retiredgoth, that's why you've hardly been on here lately!

Yes lastorders, when they never see their husband it's because he's out earning loads of money, they may never see him but they only have one role iykwim. Real single parents have to be the carer and the earner and it's overwhelming at times.
