This might have been discussed before - if so, please just point me there.

I have a 2yr old dd and don't know what to call her genitals when I'm talking to her. Vulva? Wee-wee? I name the other parts of her body and just kind of skip over that part in silence. I feel I should do better.

Frankly, I don't even have a word for my own nether regions. I think my own mother probably did the skipping-over-in-silence thing.

Any thoughts?

We use Fanny. I want a campaign to BRING BACK FANNY! I wish it wasn't such a shocking word for some people. It really bugs me that there isn't an equivalent non-threatening word for girls to use equivalent to Willy. Boys don't call it a penis so why should girls have to be so medical to make themselves understood.

(I don't particularly like words like twinkie and tuppence because they can be other things and some are too twee)

LOVE Wilma though

dd calls hers a china (her version of vagina - and yes, I know that's not toally correct)

Although she does like to make clear to people it's not made of china....

We use "gina". DD knows its short for vagina, which is the same word in both her spoken languages so no mix-ups.
