What brand are you using?

i used pampers with my DD and was very happy with them, but with DS, he wet them a LOT. Have found Huggies much better with my boys

It was a gimmick wasnt it? Didnt have them when DD was born in 92 then they appeared after DS was born in 94 but had long gone by time DS came along in 2003.

All my DSs wet through in the first weeks. I found it helped if I made sure their willies pointed down when i put their nappies on.

IMO supermarket own brands are just as good as pampers/huggies nowdays.

If you tell your HV (if she's nice!) they often have loads of single freebie nappies in their office, she might let you hve a few different ones to try.

I really notice a difference between supermarket own brand and Huggies TBH, find supermarket ones get "full" quickly and feel a bit scratchy. But only tried asda, tesco.

(oh and congrats on new DS!)

Maybe its because I was so delighted at the improvement in them since having DD and DS1 mama

They were bloody hopeless 18/16 years ago.

I had this problem with DS and found using a larger size gave that extra bit of coverage which prevented leaks. Might be worth trying the next size up.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 25/11/2009 22:56

Are you remembering to point his penis down when you put his nappy on? If not he'll be weeing right out of the top of it. Otherwise try a size up even if he's not at the "right" weight yet.

Definitely point his willy down each time, and try different brands. I found Pampers to be awful, and also loathed Asda. Lidl nappies are pretty good, and Tesco superdry or whatever they are called are my fave. Going up a size might work, although sometimes that makes the poo leak so it's a bit of a tricky dilemma!
