have to take DS1 to his induction afternoon (2nd one - hoping he doesn't throw up like he did last week LOL) at his new school.........thing is DS2 has his sleep at 1pm-3pm - and the induction afternoon starts at 1.30

So I'm going to put DS2 down for his sleep as usual, at 1.30 on the dot grab the monitor, lock the front door and whizz round to the school to drop DS1 off - then whizz back again

Actually I don't think you are "stating what most ppl think" - you'll notice that there are plenty of posters who felt that this wasn't an issue.

handlemecarefully · 28/06/2005 15:14

Okay lou - reminded myself about the 'ignoring' bit

aloha · 28/06/2005 15:14

ok, i'll keep my comments to myself :-)

Lizzylou · 28/06/2005 15:22

If I was paying someone to look after my children I would make sure they were a lot more polite and eloquent and a lot less rude than you are!

NotAtroll2005 · 28/06/2005 15:27

It's going in one ear and out of the other darl. I'm not a nanny so no, mother's wouldn't employ me anyway!

jessicasmummy · 28/06/2005 15:27

is this thing STILL kicking off?! Its over and done with - please MOVE ON!

tamum · 28/06/2005 15:29

Ooh, QoQ, you are indeed famous

NotAtroll2005 · 28/06/2005 15:32

....and what exactly is she famous for? leaving her poor ds while she goes out......definately nothing to be proud about as she seems to be

madmarchhare · 28/06/2005 15:34

I'll say it again, like I did to someone else who has posted on the linked thread. Have you actually read the whole of this thread?

This thread is hilarious, have been spluttering all over my keyboard.

Oh no, have no outed myself as a WORKING MOTHER!!!!! THE SHAME, where are my children, anything could happen to them whilst I am not there breathing over them.

Lizzylou · 28/06/2005 15:36

How sanctimonious is that thread???
I didn't actually agree with QoQ in the first place, but purlease!

PooPooGirl · 28/06/2005 15:36

NotATroll, I wouldn't do it either but it doesn't mean I waded into the thread hurling abuse about. Each to there own.

Just read the Nannyjob thread.

If we're not careful it'll be MN against the world soon

Mum2girls · 28/06/2005 15:37

I await the 10 o'clock news and tomorrow's newspaper headlines QoQ!!!!

starlover · 28/06/2005 15:37

i can'tb elieve there is a nanny on that other site who goes to pay for petrol and takes a 3.5yr old a 2yr old and a newborn with her!

she can't possibly hold onto all of them...
it'd be so easy for one of them to run off or get injured... now THAT is irresponsible!"

PooPooGirl · 28/06/2005 15:39

PMSL @ OliveOil - mines probably eatin worms somewhere. Turned up at nursery the other day to very worried faces before I realised she didn't go to nursery on that afternoon and so had already been picked up

Dahlia · 28/06/2005 15:40

I have just scanned through this thread and got the jist of it, but haven't had time to read it all - I'm just curious, has anyone made the point about leaving children in the car when they are asleep to pop quickly into a shop or go to the cashpoint or whatever? I admit to having done that, because I can see the car from wherever I am, but of course a car could plough into mine and kill the occupant instantly. Its a risk. So is leaving a baby in the house on their own for however short a time. But my humble opinion is that realistically NOTHING is going to happen in that short space of time, provided they are safe and secure in a cot/carseat/whatever, and you are going to be very quick, I don't see that its the crime of the century. Sorry if I am repeating 4 million other posters! Just occasionally when I get the time I like to post on here! And Notatroll2005 - naff name, naff comments love.

PooPooGirl · 28/06/2005 15:40

starlover - I couldn't believe that either and if I were in the car behind waiting whilst she took all that time to get them out and back in again I'd be seriously losing my rag!

NotAtroll2005 · 28/06/2005 15:45

All of you obviously don't give a shit about your children if you would be prepared to leave them in the home alone, no matter how far or near u go.

starlover · 28/06/2005 15:45

obviously. do you want all our names so you can call social services?
pmsl

starlover · 28/06/2005 15:46

at least our kids aren't going to be smothered and end up shit scared of everyone because they've never been left alone for 5 minutes and then end up leaving home early just to get the hell away from us!

PooPooGirl · 28/06/2005 15:46

'All of us'?? that's quite a broad statement - how many members does MN have these days?

QueenOfQuotes · 28/06/2005 15:48

PMSL - haven't read the whole thread yet - but for the nanny's from NJ just wanting to know if I did it - yes I did and from posting to say I was leaving to posting to say I was back took

"2 minutes and 31 seconds"

bearing in mind of course the 15 seconds to get from my front door to the computer, and back again out of the house for a total of 2 minutes and 1 second.

Oh and I've just spent 10 minutes in the garden getting clothes off the line - both DS's awake inside (had the back door open but they wanted to watch Cbeebies.

Right off to read the NJ thread

NotAtroll2005 · 28/06/2005 15:49

yea plz starlover......it will be a start to get these poor mites away from parents who would LEAVE them while they go out just for an easier life.
