There is Pizza on the Park (which I think is part of the Pizza Express chain) near the bottom of Park Lane.

Don't know about Beauchamp place, and would think Olympia is a bit far.

There's a nice one about half way along The Kings Road. Its a pleasant 10 min walk through the back streets of Chelsea - you can see how the other half live!

Olympia is a bit far away from Harrods, I think.

I'm sure there are others nearer. Do they have a website? Knightsbridge is the area.

Bibboty is that the Battersea Bridge Road one-sorry my London knowledge is limited to pre-kid locations.

If so how do you get to it?

Many thanks

Beauchamp is lovely.

ha ha at any pizza express being snooty.

bibbitybobbityhat · 19/11/2009 12:33

No, its on the Kings Road. Can't remember myself how to get there, its nearly 9 years since I worked in that area , so you'll need an A-Z. It will involve going round to the back of Harrods and walking down Hans Place or similar. Its a lovely walk, past cobbled mews houses and the like. The Pizza Express is situated about half way along Kings Road, before you get to Chelsea Town Hall, on the other side.

Can't get Beauchamp to answer.

Bibboty think yours is The Pheasantry, did it have a grand archway thing?

Will try both.

How old are the kids?

The Pizza Express on King's Road is very nice (it is near the Marks and Spencer on King's Road), but I would say it is much more than a 10 minute walk - probably twice that, if not a bit more.

I would go to Beauchamp Place as that is the most 'geographically desirable'.

How are you getting to Harrod's? Public transport?

Take some snacks in your bag for emergencies.

MilaMae · 19/11/2009 12:39

Devil is Beauchamp tiny inside and would I need to book.

Thanks

If it's daytime I doubt they would accept bookings and you can almost guarantee to turn up and be seated (unless weekends)

Earlybird · 19/11/2009 12:40

Yes, it is the Pheasantry.

Also ring Pizza on the Park. it isn't far.

MilaMae · 19/11/2009 12:41

Early do you need to book and has it got a funny archway thing. My lot are 6,6 and 5 so should hopefully cope with the walk.

Thanks for all this advice.

Pizza on the park is that bit more pricey though and not sure they do a kids menu.

MilaMae · 19/11/2009 12:42

It's Sat so maybe I'll try and book.

I don't think Pizza Express takes bookings, unless for large parties.

There is an archway for the king's road one, and a small outside courtyard out front. You walk up 10 or so fairly steep stairs to the entrance.

Pizza on the Park has a fairly well known jazz club in the basement, but it only functions at night - as far as i know. No idea if they have a kids menu, or if it is priced differently to 'normal' pizza express.

bibbitybobbityhat · 19/11/2009 12:47

Yes, the one on the Kings Road is called The Pheasantry and it has an arch outside.

MilaMae · 19/11/2009 12:48

Thanks all

Olympia one is a bit far away (a number 9 or 10 bus ride) but is surprisingly pleasant inside, given that it's actually part of Olympia.
