invited to a party soon and know there will be a facepainter there. Can a baby,9 months, have it done?

No I wouldn't. Why would you? Their skin is so delicate and might have an allergic reaction.

They wouldn't like the experience either, I'm sure.

No, your child won't care about it and you will have paint smudged all around your clothes.

misdee · 18/11/2009 21:25

a baby skin is so senstive and delicate, that i just wouldnt paint them.

if you want facepainting done, then ask for yourself to be painted.

also its very hard getting a child to sit still for a few minutes to get painted.

ilovepiccolina · 18/11/2009 21:30

Whatever would you want to do that for?

I've never seen a professional facepainter who'd do under-twos. Even with two-year-olds (and often three-year-olds) they tend to only do designs on the hand or similar rather than the face.

Pinkmarshmallow · 19/11/2009 08:30

yeah, that's what I thought. But the party is for a one year old and I don't think there will be many, if any, older than 2 there so just wondering why a face painter will be there at all. DH says "give them a chocolate cake and let them paint their own faces!!"
