She isnt going to understand what the baby is doing here so Im wondering how best to approach it all when the baby arrives.

She is a fab little girl but needs a lot of attention and seeks it if she doesnt get it IYSWIM.

I want to bf dc2 but have no experience of it as dd was ff. Im worried dd will feel left out.

Any advice? Ive read up on it but wondered what people who have been in a similar situation did?

Thanks

I have 3 dc's with 18 months between each.

A couple of things:

-make sure any visitors for the new lo make a fuss of your dd too.

-Make sure you tell your mw that you want to bf this time, to get as much support as possible. Dd can use bf time as snuggle-next-to-mum time, with a book, or time for a story from you.

-Don't worry about the state of your house!

I reckon toddlers are programmed to cope with the next babe that comes along. Hopefully she'll love being Mummies little helper, getting lots of praise for fetching and helping you.

Most of all, just take time to enjoy them all!

Thanks, great advice. I hadnt really thought about visitors, they do tend to make a bee line for a baby!!

I am hoping she will love it and can get involved and feel part of it all.
