Dads at the pub?

My baby is 3 months, how often is it reasonable for his dad to go out in the week after work and at the weekend?

Excellent answer Reality.

Just to clarify for the sake of anyone who needs it: OP you don't necessarily have to go to the pub if you don't want to, but you and your H should both have the same amount of child-free, chore-free time to do what you want to do. And if you are BF that means you arrange your hours so you can have your fun time between feeedings.

As often as he likes as long as he takes the baby.

Like SGB said, "you and your H should both have the same amount of child-free, chore-free time to do what you want to do."

If you choose to spend that time with your newborn, because you can't be arsed to go out, make sure you do it in a way the the principle of "equal time" is not undermined.

Because you will want it later down the track. So get that principle enshrined now.
