Aggression post illness

DS has been ill (chest infection) for a week and is now getting better. He was fairly wiped out with it.

He's usually a full on toddler (2 1/2yrs old) but has been very aggressive for the past week. Hiting, pinching, kicking lots.

I know he will be more tired than usual, and I relaxed my rules whilst he was ill, although DH and I consistently said "no" to aggressive behaviour.

I'm presuming (hoping) this is normal behaviour, am I right? And if so, how long does it go on for?

TIA

I think you have a reason for it with him being poorly ~ just go back to being firmer in a good way iyswim ~maybe he doesn't like you being laxer than usual?

You could be right. He does seem to be trying his luck.
Tantrumtastic at the moment. Gulp.
Thanks.

He's a tantrumtastic twonager

To answer your question, yes, toddlers can be a bit post-viral, or maybe he is testing your boundaries a bit.

tantastic twonager made me chuckle. I reigned him in a little more (in the nciest possible way) and it seems to be working.

Thanks.
