sorry - thread about thread - does my DS3 have big feet? At 2 1/2yrs old - how big were your childs feet??

I've just posted on that shoe size thread with my DS's shoe sizes and a quick glance down DS3's seem to really big compared to other children

he's almost exactly 2 1/2yrs old and has size 10 feet....

Ds was a size 7. He is very tall, but quite average of foot.
I wouldn't worry about it tbh. From my very unscientific poll of People I Have CHatted To, some kid's feet grow a lot early on, others not till theu are a few years older. Ds has had very slow growing feet so far. No doubt when he is 5 he will need a new pair on a weekly basis.

ds was a size 5. I strongly suspect that he is a midget. He will be 3 in January and has reached the dizzy heights of 5.5.

DD was a size 10 before she was 3 - by about 2.8? (Although I was just looking at the thread and thinking " my DD has huge feet.")

I might have worried but I was the same as a child -- DD is very tall too.

When my dd1 was 2.5 she was wearing a 5. She is 3.5 now and wearing a 7.

Staff in shoe shops always comment on her small feet.

DD2 is about to turn 1 and doesn't come up to the smallest Clarks size yet which is 2.5.

No point in worrying. Nothing you can do to influence the size of a child's foot any way.

well DS2 is almost six and a size 13, DS1 is 9 and has been a size 1 for 2yrs.

I can't quite work out whether DS3 is just big or whether the other two are small

My ds is 3 in December and his shoes are size 7.

My youngest DS has always had big feet. Very out of proportion for his legs and it looked worse in the summer when he has shorts on. He has now grown taller so is more in proportion. I think this is how a lot of boys grow.

My older DS is quite short for his age..but has much bigger feet than his much taller friends.

DS3 is tall as well .

Length was not such an issue for us as width.

DD2's first pair of shoes was a 2 1/2 H. The shop had to order a special pair from Start rite catalogue. THe shoes were parctically square!

Every shoe meausure session was a trial. Would there be a decent selection for her to chose from??

She has now 'settled' at a G fitting and is about 10 1/2 (She is now 6).

Wide (shortish) feet run (as it were) in our family. Poor DD2 seems the most extreme.

My DD is 3.4yo and she is size 8. She had tiny feet for ages (she had size 2.5 when she started walking at about 14mo), and then went up 2 full sizes in about 6 months recently (v expensive!). DS (7mo) has really big feet - probably at least 2/2.5 - maybe its a boy thing.

he was a G fitting when he had his feet measured in August, DS2 is an H, DS1 an F.

Not sure what runs in my family - I'm a narrow (not sure what width exactly) size 4/5, my brother has huge square feet and is about size 12 irrc.

DD is a size 9 and is exactly 2 and a half. She's tall and "solid" and has got big hands and feet

My DS2's feet were about that to and still are huge at 6yrs (size 2 - I have an adult friend with feet that size). He was in danger of catching up DS1 who is 3 yrs older - he is a size 4 and 9yrs although the gap seems to have remained the same of late.

It is a shame as he grew out of the little boy shoes too soon and by the age of 3.5 most of the shoes that fit him were school shoes. Very poor choice of non-black shoes for him.

My ds2 is a year old and in a size 5,
At this age my Dd was in a 3!

DS is just 3 and only just gone upto a size 6.. but he's also still only just fitted in the usual age 2-3 clothes.

DS is 2.7 and in 8.5. I would say on the large size but not oversized!

DS was a size 6 at 2 1/2 but he is alot taller than other children his age he is now 3 1/2 and a 7 1/2 shoe size. But I think he has his dad's height and my feet as I am only a size 3.

dd2 is 2 1/2, has size 7 1/2 feet and is really short. Her sister is a year older and has size 8 feet.

DS2 has 7 1/2 at 2 and a half and DS1 is 12 1/2 and just turned 6.

Especially with my eldest he seems to stay the same size for a year and then over the next few months go up several sizes.

At 2.5 years ds1 was in size 6, iirc. He is tiny though.
