Dd has asked me to post here, as had no joy in the general chat section.

She is 13 and very interested in getting in touch with youngsters abroad, so looking for somewhere she could find pen-friends. I know in my day there used to be an organisation that has since folded; but do any of you know of any magazines/similar either in the UK or abroad that might be of help? Or any other way you could think of? She has rudimentary French and German.

Thank you in advance.

Try Aquila magazine - my DD started to get this about age 8 specifically because they have a pen pal page. She found two penpals - one in Edinburgh, one in Belfast. Lasted about a year before fizzled out! Ring mag first tho' to check they have penfriends from further afield, and also age range. I think they go up to about 13 year olds. Good luck.
