Too guilty to have a social life

For a few reasons, my social life has entirely disappeared. One of the big contributing factors though is that I work 4 days a week. My DC goes to nursery (which she loves) 3 days a week and my parents look after her the other day. I think that I feel a responsibility to be around all the time I'm not at work and as a result, my DH and I never seem to go out. Am I being ridiculous?

Yes.

Would you want your DD to grow up thinking that when a woman has children she is not allowed to go out and have grownup fun any more?

How old is your DD and what time does she go to bed?

Everyone needs to spend time with other adults - whether DH or friends, on a social basis rather than just at work!

The odd evening out isn't going to hurt if she's tucked up in bed - could your parents babysit once in a while?
