He has a lot of words and forms simple sentences so he is doing well BUT

Car is HAR
Sky - HY
Cold - HOLD
Juice - Duce
Karl - Rar Rar
Steptoe (as in steptoe and son) - DEPDOE

would you worry???

He says a lot of the words correctly but then there are the few examples above and others where he is replacing the first letter with H or R in most cases except Juice lol.

How old is he? My DS didn't really speak coherently until he was 2.5 and his pronunciation is very unclear to those who aren't around him constantly. He has speech therapy and I have been given Jolly phonics homework to do with him.

I have asked myself what I've done wrong- after all I speak clearly with good diction and grammar and have done since he was born (and even before). I talk to him and sing to him and his vocab and grammar is good, but like I say, pronunciation just not very good at all.

If its any comfort this is much more common in boys as they are very often later talkers than girls as a very general rule.

Nesta, he is 2yrs I think its because DS1 was a very early talker.
