If you give your children a bath in the evening, do they go to bed with wet hair?

I go to bed with wet hair. I hate using a dryer at night, it makes me too hot and feel all stuffy in the head.

Can't see the problem with wet hair if you live in a warm and damp/mildew free house.

Both dd and I go to bed with wet hair, doesn't seem to do us any harm.

I do what knickers does for my dd.
Couldn't do her hair in the morning takes too long to dry so needs to be evening.
Would take forever to blow dry and just make her long thick hair fluffy long thick hair.
I go to bed with wet hair too.

I use the hairdryer on DD even though she hates standing still to have it dried.
If its still damp (she also has very long hair and it seems to take ages to dry) I just put it up in a bun. When she gets up in the morning and I take her hair out it looks all lovely and curly

damp hair
two boys and a girl with a fine bob
I also go to bed with wet hair

I tell the DDs to have their showers before dinner if they are hair-washing as they both have thick, long hair that takes ages to dry.

If we forget, they put towels over their pillows.

Always dry their hair with a dryer anyway.

We've all got straight fine hair that needs proper blow drying and a firm talking to to control it. Lord knows what we'd look like in the morning having gone to bed with wet hair. Doesn't it stick out everywhere?

(God I envy people with well behaved hair that looks great even when they've just got up)

If you go to bed with wet hair doesn't it get all tangled? And make your pillow all wet? I do occasionally go to bed with wet hair but I have to put a towel over my pillow and it's always really hard to brush in the morning.

WoTmania · 16/10/2009 09:51

I don't brush my hair

littleducks · 16/10/2009 09:57

DD (3)definately has damp sections, i put towel over pillow too, I go to bed with wet hair and mine is very long and porous doesnt bother me. If it bothered her she kick up a fuss.

I dry dds hair once a week with dryer at swimming and thats enough of a struggle for me couldnt be doing that at home, my hair drier comes out about 3 times a year.

nope never send the dc's to bed with wet hair & i always put plaits in dd's (3) hair & its lovely & wavy the next morning .

We usually leave DS up for a while after his bath so his hair can dry. He's got quite thick hair and we often give it a quick blast with the hairdrier, which he loves.
