International Day at school - suggestions please

DS1 (5) has this on a coming Friday and has to wear something representing a country. I thought of a hat with corks etc, but seems a bit naff. Doesn't have to be a whole costume, can be one item....any suggestions?

American? Cowboy outfit, check shirt, jeans, some sort of cowboy hat, kerchief... Or think golf outfit c. 1975.
