DH took DS(4) at the weekend; I just asked him if it was noticeably different/better and he wrinkled his nose -- he says that it was good to see Toy Story on the big screen, but the 3D didn't add much.

DS is 4.5yrs and has never been to the cinema as have been waiting to fine something he would like. Do you have to wear 3d glasses throughout?

The special effects aren't that great, but it was nice to see it on the big screen.

Echo what DwayneD says re the trailers, there was a completely unsuitable 5 min long trailer for 3D version of A Christmas Carol, except it wasn't a cartoon it was somewhere in between cartoon and reality, very scary and dark complete with Marleys ghost rattling chains. Luckily DS age 3.5 has been desensitized by Scooby Doo exposure but poor boy in the row in front was sobbing and had to be taken out for a bit.

So if your DC is nervous I'd find out exactly what time the film starts and aim to get there for that.

Oh yes we enjoyed Cloudy as well although DS said that the big meatball was quite scary
