Please tell me things will get easier...

I thought by now I would be coping much better. Ds1 is 3.3 years and ds2 is 6 months old. I thought that things would feel much more settled once ds2 hit 6 months but they don't - the challenges are different but more difficult.

Things with ds1 seemd to really fall inot place when he got to 5/ 6 months but ds2 is all over the place. He can't seem to settle into a daytime sleep routine that works around ds1's school run and the weaning isn't going as well as I had hoped. I don't get to out much cos him being so unsettled and the weaining and it all just feels soul destroying. I felt like the pnd was passing and the last couple of days feel like like I'm sliding again...

Please tell me it all gets easier soon

I am sure it will all get easier! All children are different, you've just got to try not too put too much pressure on yourself.

Is there anyone you can call to give you a break maybe a parent or a neighbour or a friend who can just come in once or twice a week to give you a hand or a break!

Perhaps you remember dc1 being in more of a routine because dc1 set the routine, dc2 is expected to fit into someone else's. Once they're on the move things are much easier.

Sorry you're haoivng a hard time.

The thing to remember is that all children are different, just because DS1 did something one way doesn't mean your DS2 will be the same.

Perhaps you are expecting too much from him.

Don't be so hard on yourself though, you still have two very young children, it will get easier, especially once your DS2 is no longer a baby.

'No longer a baby' is such a long way to go. I just feel so guilty that ds2 isn't allowed to find his own rythm without being pushed around to fit in around ds1, whereas ds1 was ptretty much in charge at that age. How do people do it???
