Struggling to make conversation in the playground.

Am I the only one who has this problem? My dc go to a small village primary school. Most of the parents are friendly, but I really struggle to sustain a half decent conversation. I'm ok with a few I know really well but I want to be able to talk to others. Any suggestions???

"Where did you get that coat/skirt/boots/etc? It is really lovely!"

Nothing like unashamed flattery to make people like you

Ask how there child is getting on - enjoying school etc..

"Have you lost weight?"

Unashamed, but works well.
