Just wondered if anyone else had a conversation similar to mine at dd's christening: great aunt & mother, well years ago they always had babies christened as soon as they left hospital as they were thought to be unclean and then did you have (me) christened early(which my mum did)noone saying but things are different these days etc, it was just left hanging in the air as if i was so wrong to have had dd christened at 18mths.

Am i being to sensitive?

I always thought very early christenings in the past were because of the high risk of neonatal death. Thankfully not such a concern these days hence not such a bit rush.

Yes, they were whipped off to the church before the fairies could get them. Would they prefer if you hadn't had DD christened at all? Hope the experience wasn't traumatic for DD .
