Anyone else send their wee one to pre-school in the school taxi?

ds is abou tto start in the nursery taxi on Monday. He started nursery 3 weeks ago (he is 3) and it is 4 miles away. I do not drive and the buses are okay but pricey and involve a fair old walk, usually in the peeing rain. He is in for 2.5 hours a day so I do not have time to come home and have to hang around the town for 2 hours.
The taxi takes him and another wee girl along with their 'escort' who hands them over to their nursery nurse and collects them. They have car seats of course.
WOuld you?

Yes, he absolutely loves it, I am glad to say.
He also likes the wee girl who travels by taxi.

Yes. My ds went to nursery at his special school in a taxi, with his escort. It is 40 miles away. The stress for me was awful, but I think I would have been fine if it was 4 miles away.

Most children with special needs are offered taxi transport, with an escort. It's perfectly acceptable at special schools, so should not be an issue at any placement.

Hope this helps to reassure you, and I am sure he will be fine.
