Does this make me a qualified nursery nurse? (without experience as a nursery nurse, yes, but qualified?)

Just wondering as I'm a childminder, and hopefully starting this in Sept. but was wondering what other paths it opened.

Also do NVQs count towards university admission?

I run a parent and toddler group and am trying to find an nvq3 course to go on but am finding it difficult to juggle work, family and pregnancy. As far as i am aware you are qualified as a nursey nurse even without the experience. The level three also means that you can apply for a nursery managers post or start your own nursery. I understand that they are trying to persuade all our local childminders to gain their nvq3. Hope this helps.

I intend to get my qualification then try to get a job as a classroom assistant once both children are at school and then i can give up the evening and weekend work as well as having the school holidays with the kids.
