Is the Student card you can get via the OU the same as a normal NUS card and universally accepted? Do you think it is worth paying (is it £10) for?

I've been meaning to get one of these for the last four years - not sure if it's the same as a normal NUS card, but you can certainly use it to get students discounts in all sorts of places. Well worth a tenner, I think.

You can also get an OUSA card, which is free. This also gives you discounts in some places apparently.

Thanks Molesworth
I may need to dig around on the OU website for more info, but it is a bit unwieldy, isn't it?
