7 week old ds constipated!

Hi,
Is there anything I can give a 7 week old baby for constipation. He is on ranitidin for reflux, and is still having tummy ache as he hasn't been to the toilet for over 24 hours,
any advice would be great!

is he formula or breast fed? at that age formula fed ds went 2-3 days between poos but was not constipated as it was still soft when it arrived

if bf he'll not be constipated, jus tnothing coming through!

even ff babies can go a day or 2 (or 3)without pooing without anything being amiss.

Mine (same age) has this too. She has had plenty of wet nappies but no soiled nappies for three days now, despite feeding a LOT (bfed).

Trollydolly, is your baby over it now? I was thinking of seeing the GP on Monday if she still wasn't better - no idea what to give her.

it is quite common for bf babies to start pooing a lot less then when they were younger. Some can go 1 week or more without pooing without being constipated

He had th biggest poo today!!! Tried massaging his tummy clockwise motion and then doin cycling moves with his legs!

if it becomes a chronic thing may I suggest cranial osteopathy, it worked for mine who would not poo sometimes for a week
