Having a dilema! DD is 12months and over the last couple of days, since it's been a bit cooler, we have been putting her in her thicker sleeping bag (which she hasn't worn since the beginning of the year). Since she was about 3-4months old we have established a good bedtime routine with the sleeping bag and she has some truble settling without it. Blankets were always tricky when she was small as she is a very wriggly sleeper. However, now she is bigger, she can get out of said 'winter' sleeping bag, undoing the shoulder poppers within a matter of seconds. She then gets very upset and cold! Thought about getting one with a zip down the front but she can undo zips on jackets/coats when wearing them and surely that's the same IYSWIM?!
Is it safe to give her a quilt instead of the bag now? I'm just still a bit worried that she might kick it off and get cold or worse get stuck under it and (God forbid) suffocate!! Just not sure at all as the sleeping bag has been so much a part of the bedtime routine, and she is usually a very good sleeper. Any ideas/previous experiences I would love to hear them!!
