octo: I've got a babyland one - bought something else from the seller and they included a sample nappy for me to try out. I thought it looked quite like the one-sized Fuzzis. It seems fairly good value for money (as they're very cheap to buy 6 or 12 at a time), though I do get a bit of drooping with the wings/tabs.

Octothechildherder · 01/09/2009 22:14

It says they are in Bath - wonder if they really are!!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/09/2009 22:52

Who's in Bath? The Babyland ppl? I bought mine direct from China.

It def says location Bath and free UK postage on some of the listings.

Babybots · 01/09/2009 23:05

Thats one of the things i hate about ebay, the ability to lie about where they are, alot of dropshippers set themselves up with fake locations, this is done because most people wont buy from china etc so they give the impression that they are in the UK

JennyPenny22 · 01/09/2009 23:08

Aw thanks Octo!

As for that new nappy - I am not going for it for now. I have asked for a sample and he said yes but is now being a bit funny. I am starting to wonder if he was trying to scam money out of me as it all seems very odd . But if he does send me some testers (I am paying for them obiously!) Then I can test them that way. If they are good then I will definatly get more but I don't want to end up with crap nappies. Even if I can sell them - I don't want to sell rubbish nappies!!!

I have just made a tempory switch to Ariel for my nappies as it was on offer and meant to be very good. My nappies are very clean, even though I only used a 40 wash instead of 60! I think I might have to go over to Ariel. I am definatly not getting the bold liqitabs again as you can't do a half dose! So using up on clothes!

4 - my DS2 is a skinny little thing, and at his 9 month check he'd dropped down on the centiles and my HV made me feel all guilty about still BFing. My husband was working away so I was on my own with a baby and a toddler, feeling tired and vulnerable, and I found it very upsetting. He's a picky eater, and any tiny illness like a cold makes him go off his food totally, whereas the other two eat everything in sight. He's nearly 4 now and still slim, but it's taken me this long to chill out about it and realise that all children are different and that charts are bollocks. I know it's important that we have a way of guaging whether children are thriving and being cared for, and that's what centiles are for, they shouldn't be for freaking out diligent mothers who are doing their best for their children but who happen to be below the national average in height and weight!! Phew. It doesn't help that my family are all short-but-sturdy celts designed for tossing cabers, while my husband's are delicate, artistic, vegetarians. DS2 takes after his side and is all bony knees and big, tragic eyes - the other two looked like sumo babies and my mum would go 'ooh, what a lovely chubby pair of thighs...' She looks at Aaron and goes 'do you give him any red meat?' Grrr.

PHew. Sorry about long rant, I get all lioness-like about centile charts and HVs upsetting people!

Baron your ds's sound lovely!! My dd1 is hugely tall but her bio dad was 6'3 so not really surprised, dd2 is tiny, she starts school next week and all her school uniform is aged 3! She is nearly 4.5!!

Octothechildherder · 02/09/2009 09:39

Sad news - my neighbour died this morning - she was 83 and has had cancer for a while - we kind of knew yesterday it wasn't good - she was such a lovley lady Will be missed Will pop over later/tomorrow and see if can do anything

mumface · 02/09/2009 10:04

Octo sorry to hear about your friend passing over.
Good news about pop-in they have refunded and told me to keep the nappy & accessories!
Have ordered 2 blueberry sidesnaps for Lewis from there now. I love them as pull up nappies. Sapphire and Dalmation

JennyPenny22 · 02/09/2009 10:10

4 I wouldn't worry about it, my 2 are almost the same size and there is 16month age difference! Elouise is still in 9-12 month stuff at 20 months and Talia in going into 6-9 months at 4 month!

JennyPenny22 · 02/09/2009 10:11
