We're spending some time with my cousins and this afternoon, my 5year old put on the computer and saw a clip of oral sex, my husband was with him and quickly turned off the computer, but after he had seen enough to say ' that's so disgusting'

we haven't talked to him about it, we don't know if we should, or what to say. I'm really confused and any advise would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Don't say anything - if he asks say something like "Oh, that's something some grown ups like to do"

He'll just file it away somewhere with all the other bizarre things grown ups like doing - I wouldn't worry.

If he asks, say it was a grownup thing. If he doesn't, ignore it and move on.

I wouldn't worry too much but I would talk to him about it. A similar thing happened to me about aged 6 and I was told not to worry about it as is was for grown ups. It was 'case closed' on any questions I may have had. Two years later when I was sexually abused I felt that I couldn't tell anyone because of previous reactions that this was what grown ups did, not children.

I am not trying to scare you and obviously I wasn't abused because I saw some pornography. Please just keep communication open between yourself and your DS. Don't dismiss it or act embarrassed.

It also happened to me aged 4. I remember nothing of it, but my mum had her friends round and were watching a video of men putting their cocks through holes in a wall and women on the other side were sucking them. Sounds odd. Anyway I had got out of my bed and went into the living room, before they'd noticed me and had a chance to turn it off I said 'mummy, what are they doing to those sausages?'. LOL.
