Anyone tried the new tesco superfit nappies (purple pack)?

I have used these nappies on both kids for ages. DD is 16m so still in day nappies, DS is only in night nappies now.

Anyway, picked up the usual nappies (size 5) at Tesco at weekend and they have changed. I thought, fine they've modified it a bit. But when I pulled a nappy out, around the top of the waistband, the nappy had shredded plastic bits on. I just lightly touched them and they came off. I don't want bits of nappy falling down DD's trousers/all over the place? Has anyone else found this?

We used these when we went to PIL recently (we usually use reuseables so I don't know much about disposables) and yes there were plastic bits like tassels all over them. I didn't get it either!

Glad it isn't just me!

Thing is, the Tesco nappies were supposed to be the best nappy around (and I have always found them brilliant, having struggled with DS weeing out of many other brands). I can't believe they have taken such a brilliant nappy and ruined it!

I have noticed the change - the size 5s seem very cheap now (quality not price), very thin and they leak all the time now.

I expect an accident overnight now and then but my son managed to wee through them in a morning nap.

The only reason we shop at Tesco was because their nappies were the best. I feel a stern email coming on!

I have used Tesco nappies for both of my children, and my youngest is still in them. Like you, i picked some up the other day not realising that they have changed the design. They are much thinner than the old ones, and not as absorbant. It's a shame they have changed them- i agree they were definately the best nappy before. Hope loads of people complain so they'll bring back the old design!

I like a lot of people in this forum have been using Tesco nappies for a few years, I use them not only for the price, but because they WERE by far the best nappy.

That is no longer the case, as they are just as bad as pampers!!

I travelled from far, to buy these 'nappies'.

Last night I went to tesco, and spoke to the store manager, who at first strugglled to take me seriously. Luckily in the store, there was one of the old 'superfit packs.
So when he compared both packs, the new pack has 27 nappies and the old 25!!!to me that is self explainatory, it shows that because the new nappies are so thin, they can fit an extra 2!! if we all complain they will do something about it, the manager will be getting back to me this week, so fingers crossed,

I used the old Tesco Superfit nappies exclusively for the past 5 years on 2 children and found them to be head and shoulders above the rest. Never a leak and rare, only mild nappy rash. (Pampers are without doubt the worst...at least they were until Tesco changed theirs!)

Since Tesco's have changed my daughter has had terrible nappy rash, even steroidal cream hasn't helped. I have tried about 8 different types and brands and today decided to check them all out by pouring a cupful of water into each and seeing how wet the surface felt. The only one which felt dry to touch were the green Sainsbury's ones. They still aren't as leak proof, but I guess they'll have to do until Tesco sorts it out!

lidl nappies are good and cheap, for in the mean time till you girls get you old design back.
