DD1 is starting nursery in Sept and I need to start labelling stuff.

What do you use? Fabric pen? iron on? sew on? and where do I get these things?

TIA

A laundry pen can be bought in most sueprmarkets and stationers . You can order preprinted/embroidered labels(to sew in rion on or stickers) either thorugh palces like M and S and John Lewis or online - ablelabels, cash's, easy to name to name but a couple of suppliers.

I just use a fabric pen or biro and write in the label. You can get fabric pens is Asda.

When Ds2 started school I got him some nice iron on labels from EBay, you could choose different pictures etc, he had scooby doo
I soon got bored of the faff of ironing them, hence the biro!!

Ebay do have some nice labels for the insides of shoes, which was handy when he was first at school.

I use stick on labels for shoes, sports cups, school bag/lunch bag, etc and iron on labels for clothes. I use the fab and funky labels from Easy2name (you can get a 10% mumsnet discount for them)

Does anybody know where I can buy the reusable tags (I think they were called attachtags or attaching tags) that were similar to buttons and they etch your childs name onto the tag? Im fed up sewing in name tapes and these tags just click on. My friend got a promotional pack from a magazine but has thrown the packaging away. Help! Can face renaming everything this week - especially as its gloves, hats and scarves as well!

Dont forget your mumsnet discount!!
