Does anything exist that is a combination of a side light and a 'bunny clock'?

I need a light that DD can turn on herself plus thinking about the concept of using a bunny clock or equivalent - the rabbit that opens its eyes when it's awake thing!

Is there anything out there that does both things?

I'm interested too. My dd has this but it's really a night light and I'd like something a bit stronger.

I don't know but I would like a clock that:

• has sunset and sunrise lighting (I use the Phillips one at the moment and its great but the alarm cant be silenced)
• has a silent setting so you don't get the radio alarm or the frog noise! (the light is enough to wake me and DS)
• has a moon and sun so DS knows when it is day and night just by looking (similar to the bunny eyes) and will try to go back to sleep at 4am
• and can be turned on dimmly in the middle of the night for toilet trips, by a small child
• has digital clock numbers that he can read in the daytime that don't glow at night and keep DS awake

I wonder what kind of internet Ebay/ Amazon search I would need to create to locate this?

Go glow time is a clock and light combined which shows your child when they can get up.

Yes, that's too soft for us. We have a black out blind so want a light she can turn on to play once she's up but also be able to see if it's time to wake us up or be quiet still

I have one of the Glo ones and it is good at what it does ie tells them when you they can get up, but the light is a night light and goes off when 'wake up' comes

Biscuit, cant your DC switch a normal lamp on, one with an inline switch, DS finds thes all too easy . Or use a timer with a normal lamp though that wont allow for self control

How old is your DD? My ds is just 4 and can recognise numbers. He has a bog standard clock radio near his bed (which is quite bright - if I end up in there during the night I have to turn the numbers away or I can;t get to sleep. He knows his numbers, though, so I can say to him that I won;t get up until it says seven zero zero!

Sorry, ahve completely ignored the bit about a light that your dd can turn on herself. That said, also on ds's bedside table is a fade out light which can be made bright enough to read by, so would be okay for playing in the morning.

We have this had it for ds1, and now for ds2, light up bunny alarm clock, lights up a section on the bottom showing picture of bunny asleep, then you set the alarm to say when the panel above lights up to show bunny awake.

It does have a "Nightlight" setting but I don't think it would be enough for her to play by, however, it is a fantastic clock. We too have blackout blinds so this was ideal as he couldn't see the other bunny alarm clock that everyone else seems to have.

We have ended up with the blackout blinds plus a little touch-on/off lamp that she turns on when she wakes and PLAYS QUIETLY until she hears that her brother is up. I can see if she's awake or not by the light rim around her door. If it's dark we creep off to play and check every 15 mins or so and if it's light, I go and get her. Working brilliantly so far!!

Am I being too controlling for a 2.8 year old though - should I be just letting her get up when she wants and wake us all up?

Whatever works for you. One of the reasons I have the Glo ones (Iggle Piggle in his boat at night and Daisy for waking) is that DS would come and wake me up earlier and earlier, plus he would himself bu up earlier then grumpy later in the day. Asit is if he see's Daisy isnt up he will go back to sleep
