My DD is ill, (and I'm home alone with her) I have a week to finish this assignment, please just push me along

Right, come on, you can do this! Have you started the essay yet? IMO that's the hardest bit! My style is to write like mad then I can see lots on the page, then go back and revise, adding quotes etc.

How long does it have to be? Could you break it down into so many words a day?

im going thru my lecture notes, picking some quotes that can frame my points in the essay to answer the question and spark debate? Is that right? Im crap with this stuff - i hate writing things down if it was verbal then i'd be cool

I have 3 essays to do by the 17th is it dooable?

o, and it's 3 x 2500 words

one on Alice In Wonderland (thats what im doing now)

and 2 for my 19th Century Lit -

on Jane Eyre and another on Great Expectations

Well, I have to admit that is a lot! But you can do it! You sound like you've got a system. If you do essay plans for all three, you'll feel happier. Tricky with dd at home though.

she's ill, bless only 2.10 she's on the sofa with her quilt and pillows drinking pints of water and i just spoon fed her cold custard yummy
