Hot baby

New mum here. Forgive my worrying, but I would like to know what to do with my hot sweaty baby in this humidity? She is only just over a week old and so floppy in this heat. Should I keep waking her up to feed her? Should I give her a cool bath? What would you do in this humidity?

have u got a thermometor (not sure about spelling) to check her temp?

what is she wearing, maybe strip her down to her vest?

If she's really warm I would have her wearing just a nappy with a thin cotton sheet over her when she's sleeping. When she's awake just a nappy. Ask the Health Visitor or Midwife (I'm assuming that they're still coming regularly, as she's only a week old) what their advice is. If she's awake to feed she will probably feed better, but if she still feeds when she's asleep I wouldn't worry about it too much.

My baby was a month or so old when the heatwave hit, and I was worried sick about him being too hot. He slept in a 0.5 tog grobag (like a cotton sheet thickness) and his nappy.
