8.5 month old - how many poos a day is 'normal'??

Because I have just changed my 6th dirty nappy of the day with the first one being at 5.30am - he always starts his day at this time with a huge stinky nappy!

Ok today seems to be slightly extreme but he usually has at least 4 poos throughout the day - is this normal?

DS1 was generally a once a day (2 at the most), regular as clockwork child pretty much from birth so this is such a change from that.

I assumed weaning was well under way, DS2 wouldn't poo quite as often.

think it's just how quickly your food is digested. my DN was taken to dr by my sister because she will only go twice a week. was told if thats the way it has always been its just the way her body works.
on the flipside my Ds2 2yo will go upto 4 times a day.(oh the joys of being a mummy)
hope i helped x

Thanks for that - I guess DS2 must have a very fast digestive system. I found banana 'worms' in his poo this afternoon and he didn't have banana yesterday but did have it for breakfast this morning - so it is very fast!

I must have been spoilt with DS1 only pooing once a day
