Constipated.

My baby is 5 weeks old and is constipated, he has had a bowel movement today but is was very hard and it was a few pebbles, he has been straining all day, he is bringing his legs up tight to his tummy and crying.

He wont drink orange juice with water or water on its own, he spits it out and gaggs.

What can i do HELP!!!!

wait until his next feed and give him some cooled boiled water before his feed. he will be more likely to drink it if he is hungry. Dont give him orange juice though, he's a bit too young. Only put 1 or 2 ounces in the bottle so it doesnt come out too fast.

if he wont take it or he dosent improve speak to your HV.
