Still having accidents 2 months in - worrying or normal?

DD, 2.7, has been in pants for about 2 months now. Since about day 4 she's had 1 or 2 accidents nearly every day, and she still needs to be prompted to go to the potty. Is it normal to carry on having daily accidents for months like this? I'm not overly stressed about it but I feel we've stopped making progress, and reading Gina Ford it sounds like children are 'done' after a week and then never have an accident again.

She trained at 2.5 months at her insistence.

Get used to it m'dear. We had months on end, still have the occasional accident at nearly 4!

According to GF it takes a week if the child is "ready". The million dollar question is, when are they ready?

thanks blithedance. That's reassuring, though I'm sorry about all your washing!
