At 2.9 my dgs is now fully trained in the daytime[including naps].What did the trick was acknowledging his need for privacy and having several potties in places where he could reach one easily, also making sure it was easy for him to pull pants trousers down.He now just calls for a wipe post poo or for help to empty a potty.
Just in time for preschool in September.

this will make people having trouble feel really great

@ acknowledging his need for privacy

lol

pranma · 11/07/2009 18:27

Well TR it was so awful for so long-a week of constipation, screams when had to poo,poo in pants for ages and real misery at the whole thing. My intention is to reassure those having probs that it can be ok and to say that when an articlate child says,'Dont watch me!'he might actually mean it.

well that sounds fair enough but your op says none of that

it comes across as smug 'we just had to scatter some potties around and not look and he's trained'

if you didn't mean that then I think you need to explain fully

and I wasn't bothered btw cause I had to hell to tains girls and then my third did it herself 2 weeks before her second birthday

day AND night

fucking amazing!

Well, pranma, I am taking comfort from your comments..

TrinityRhino, do you have to swear??? (and are you aware you are coming over quite threatening?)

TrinityRhino · 11/07/2009 22:08

you are kidding me right?

no chance I'm coming across as threatening

and no I dont need to swear

TrinityRhino · 11/07/2009 22:10

kaffywaffy - second day on mn eh??

pranma · 11/07/2009 22:26

Thanks kaffy thats what I hoped
never mind TR you have a little go at me if you like,I dont mind and I have nowt to be smug about-its my dgs not ds-my dd and oh did all the work and it took 5months from stsrt to finish-I put lots of miserable posts on at first[I have dgs when dd is at work and I was worrying aboutme messing up].I didnt go into detail in my op because I just wanted to share a bit,its not really that interesting, just nice.

TrinityRhino · 11/07/2009 22:53

lol so funny

Pranma, I wasn't having a go

I was letting you know that your op could be construed as smug and maybe you would want to ellaborate so as to help others which is what I assumed you were trying to do

nappyaddict · 11/07/2009 22:55

I'd love to know how she's being threatening

Thunderduck · 11/07/2009 22:57

Threatening? Threatening what/whom?

QuintessentialShadow · 11/07/2009 22:58

kaffywaffy, are you quite ok? In yourself, I mean?

KnickKnack · 11/07/2009 22:58

Threatening???

Wow someone needs to take a chill pill.

Oh shit that's me reported for pushing drugs.

Yurtgirl · 11/07/2009 23:14

FWIW I think the op was smug
Trinty wasnt threatening but wasnt exactly polite either - blunt definitely
And if you didnt need to swear why did you?

But not a post I would report
But then I wouldnt start another thread about it either
