DH's morning alarm has been disturbing DS so we moved him into his own room tonight -he settled well and seems ok but I feel sad that I won't be near him all night. What a wuss . I'm hoping the first night will be the worst.

Aw I remember it well. I loved DS sleeping next to us and felt all sad when he moved. But just think, you can now put the light on, read and even have sex!!!

I was in a bit of a state when we moved DS. like it when we go away because then we are in the same room as him and I can just open my eyes and see him.

Yes I'm pathetic, and no I don't care!!

Oh, I definitely GRIEVED when we moved DS at his own room at the grand old age of 1. Even though he was in his own cot in our room, I missed his little noises and breathing... But he did sleep better in his own room. I felt really surprised at how I felt on moving DS to his room! Poor thing, it will get easier though (for you, not DS!).

Ha ha, so much for sleeping better - he was awake earlier, but I daresay he's probably as freaked out as me being in his own room. Hardly slept, but only checked on him twice so I feel like a big brave girl

It will get better I promise! I think we are almost definitely moving DC2 (still baking at the mo...) earlier than 1 year old so it can't have been that bad...
